University Libraries – Collections Consolidation

In line with digital collection and weeding policies approved by Library Committee of Academic Board, the University Libraries are commencing a significant collection project.

This project will transfer low use books to Store and discard both low use multiple copy books and titles which are duplicated in print and electronic.  Some relevant titles will be transferred from the Barr Smith Library to the Roseworthy and Waite libraries. The Barr Smith Library Reference Collection will also be integrated into the Main Collection.

For journal titles where the library has secure and perpetual online access the print copy will be discarded.

Items sent to offsite storage can be requested via Library Search and can be restored to the main collection if teaching/research needs change.
